Marek Rymsza Dr. hab., sociologist, is working at the Institute of Applied Social Sciences of the University of Warsaw. He directs the Department of Preventive Functions of Social Policy. Co-founder and Chief Editor (to March 2017) of the quarterly magazine "The third sector"- scientific magazine dedicated to issues of civil society and non-governmental organizations.
Member of the Editorial Board of the quarterly magazine "Więź" and the think-tank “Laboratorium Więzi”. Member of the Presidium of the Main Board of the Polish Sociological Association and the President of the Section of Social Work. Since November 2015 he has been coordinating the work of the Section for Social Policy and Family within the National Development Council of the President of the Republic of Poland. He specializes in social policy issues and other public policies, social work, non-profit sector and civil society.
