Galia Chimiak, PhD is a graduate of Sociology, English Philology and Development Cooperation Policy and Management. She is interested in issues related to civil society and development cooperation. Galia Chimiak has been employed as an assistant professor at the Civil Society Department at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences (IFiS PAN). In 2008-2009 she also worked for UNDP in Bosnia and Hercegovina. Since 2004 she has been a lecturer at Collegium Civitas, the Warsaw University and the Graduate School for Social Research at IFiS PAN in Warsaw as well as in Trinity College in Dublin. She is a member of TheInternational Society for Third Sector Research and the Development Education and Awareness Raising Multi-stakeholder Group at DG DEVCO of the European Commission.
