Danutė Burakienė is Head of Evaluation Division, EU Structural Assistance Management Department located in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania, where she has been working since 1997. She has started her career as a chief economist in State Debt Department. Since 2001 she has been working as a chief specialist responsible for coordination of EU Assistance (PHARE) to Lithuania. Since 2004 she has been responsible for evaluation of EU structural assistance. In 2006 she was appointed the Head of Evaluation Division.
Other professional experience: co-author of Publication “What, How and Why We Evaluate? Evaluation of EU-Funded Programmes in a Nutshell” (2007), presentations and reports on Lithuanian evaluation experience in international conferences held in Lithuania and abroad, participation in preparation of evaluation surveys and methodological documents.
